With a technical background in the natural resource industry, Phil progressed through sales and marketing roles to take up key positions such as Head of Consulting Services and Global Sales Manager for large multi-national companies. He also founded and became Managing Director for the Asia Pacific offices of a mid-sized European technology company.

Phil Beale set up Equinox Consulting to provide independent specialist consultancy, primarily in the areas of business development, strategy, sales and marketing and technology commercialisation together with associated training.
Phil has particular experience in the effective communication of technical products and services to a wider, often non-technical audience and in helping technical staff make a successful transition to business and/or client-facing roles.

Phil has an Honours Degree from Nottingham University, a Professional Diploma with the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is a business mentor for world leading university-business incubator partnership SetSquared. He has 25 years experience working in business development, technology commercialisation and strategy, often at Director level, for a variety of companies ranging from small independents, through SMEs to multi-national corporations.
